Ethiopian Constitution Day

Commemorates the implementation of Ethiopia's first constitution by Haile Selassie in 1931. The constitution instigated a Parliament and resulted in the appointment of a number of deputies, although Emperor Haile Selassie I retained supreme power and authority. Rastafarians remember the history of Ethiopia and the events that led up to the birth of the Rastafari religion. A Nyabingi session also occurs to honour the importance of Ethiopia

For Muslims, Ashura marks the day that Musa (Moses) and the Israelites were saved from Pharaoh by Allah creating a path in the Sea.  Also Ashura marks the day that Husayn ibn Ali, the grandson of the Islamic prophet Muhammad, was martyred in the Battle of Karbala. World Hepatitis Day 

World Hepatitis Day is observed each year on 28 July to raise awareness of viral hepatitis, an inflammation of the liver that causes severe liver disease and hepatocellular cancer.
