Armistice Day & Remembrance Sunday

Armistice/Remembrance Day is commemorated on 11 November each year and marks the end of World War I in 1918. In the UK, the official commemoration was moved to the Sunday closest to 11 November in 1939, to avoid any disruption to production in factories supporting the war effort.
