Disability equality means recognising that the things we do and the way we work may impact differently on people with disabilities* and that we can make reasonable adjustments to minimise these effects. The result of this will be greater inclusion for disabled people, changed perceptions and a reduction of negative stereotypes


            


The University is positive about disability and encourages applications from disabled people


*A person has a disability if s/he has a physical or mental impairment which has a substantial and long-term adverse effect on that person's ability to carry out normal day-to-day activities. Not all disabilities are visible.
