Race equality is the belief that individuals, regardless of their racial characteristics, nationality (including citizenship), ethnic or national origins, should be treated equally under the law and provided equal opportunity. It aims to end racial discrimination and seeks to recognise and understand the economic, social and cultural barriers standing in the way of minority ethnic groups, allowing people of all racial and ethnic origins an equal chance to flourish, fulfil their potential, and contribute to society

The University of Lincoln joined the Race Equality Charter in 2016
