The Eleanor Glanville Institute has a growing portfolio of postgraduate short courses and research programmes around the varied aspects of equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI). With a desire to learn, and an open mind, students can reflect, explore, and further their knowledge and understanding of EDI. The programmes provide the flexibility to tailor a postgraduate journey through the many dimensions of EDI, whether that's through a taught and guided approach, or through engagement with a longer-term research project


Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Literacy - the ABC of EDI


This course explores the concepts of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) from a range of different perspectives. Learners explore key concepts, develop and deepen their knowledge and build their understanding of EDI. Gaining insights into oneself and deeper appreciation and understanding of others, learners will develop their own original thinking and inclusive practice.

Conscious Inclusion: Empowering Individuals


Aimed at learners at all levels, this course provides an alternative approach to the conventional 'unconscious bias training', departing from simply raising awareness of the existence of bias, towards eliciting long-term behavioural change. It forms the foundation of inclusive leadership.

Inclusive Leadership: Empowering Co-creation, Change and Innovation


Inclusive leadership is a critical capability that enables diverse thinking to catalyse innovation and address the challenges and uncertainty with increasingly diverse markets, customers, and talent.  This course will develop an understanding of what it means to be an inclusive leader. Learners will explore the theoretical frameworks and key concepts around self-reflection, living a shared vision, building relationships, co-creating change and systems thinking. Deeper appreciation will be gained of the importance of building inclusive environments - spaces that invite participation, motivate co-creation and promote a sense of belonging – and of a solutions-focussed approach that draws on the strengths of the team.
