Call for Participants: the Inclusive Student Pipeline project


The EGI is recruiting for participants for a student led research project The Inclusive Student Pipeline: Transitioning from statutory education through FE to HE



Who we are

We are a team of student and staff researchers as part of the Eleanor Glanville Institute (EGI) at the University of Lincoln (UoL). We are doing a research project funded by LiNCHigher as part of the Office for Students UniConnect initiative to support schools and students across Lincolnshire.


The project

This is a student-led project, which aims to support ALL students' transition into higher education and success through improving school and university staff understanding of how this could be done in a more effective and inclusive way.


Why we want to talk to you

Your experiences and insights are valuable! If you are interested in participating in this research, sharing your transition experiences from the UK compulsory education system when coming to study at UoL, and providing your insights into how schools and universities can better support students before and after starting university, please contact us for a further conversation through a focus group. 

In our research, we are in particular keen to explore and include the lived experiences of students from the six backgrounds given below.

Details of the project are included in the Participant Information Sheet which will be shared with you in advance to assist you in making a decision.

You will be asked to complete a Consent Form on the interview/focus group day should you wish to contribute. All participants will be given a £20 Amazon vouchers for their contributions.

Recruitment for this project closes on 6th December 2022. An in-person focus groups will be held on 13th December 2022 on the main campus.
