Issues of Gender Research Roundtable

The Issues of Gender Research Roundtable will bring academics together from across the University of Lincoln whose work deals with gender in some capacity for networking and potential research collaborations.
Specifically, it is an opportunity for all of us to learn what each other are working on, forge new connections for interdisciplinary work, and through these links develop potential collaborations for funding bids and co-conducting research studies. The day will begin with each participating member presenting a brief three minute overview of their research. We will then break into small groups based on research interests to brainstorm potential collaborations and new projects. This will be followed up with a summary of the day, and an agenda for future steps.
The main themes of the day will be research that deals with issues of gender including:
- Gender, Technology & Media
- Intersectional Perspectives of Gender
- Issues of Identity & Development in Relation to Gender
- Issues of Gender in connection to Employment
- or Human Rights
- Historical Understandings & Construction of Gender
- Issues of Masculinity
The Roundtable is hosted by the Eleanor Glanville Centre, interdisciplinary centre for inclusion, diversity and equality at the University of Lincoln, Senior Lecturer Dr Elisa Rubengi (Computer Science) and Dr Nik Dickerson (Sport and Experience Science)
