LID2020 Lincoln Inclusion & Diversity Annual Conference
19 Feb
DoubleTree Hilton, Brayford Wharf N, Lincoln LN1 1YW
As part of the University's self-evaluation process, the Lincoln Inclusion & Diversity Annual Conference (LID2020) will bring together staff from across the University to focus on inclusion and diversity; linking policy and practice to facilitate a refreshed perspective to support Lincoln’s ambitious equality aims.
This event, the first of its kind at Lincoln, will give delegates an opportunity to hear from, and interact with, thought leaders in diversity and inclusion strategy, policy and practice, and provide space for staff to consider, discuss, and offer their contributions on practical measures and local challenges.
This ‘bottom up’, co-creation approach – where all staff work together towards diversity and inclusion goals for mutual benefit – forms the basis of university-wide evaluation. Through acting as a central forum that showcases initiatives and practice, the conference aims to create a clear picture of the breadth of activities, the progress being made, and the work that still needs to be done towards the sustainable development of an inclusive work/study-place culture. As such, it will form a valuable part of the self-evaluation process necessary to achieving Athena SWAN and Race Equality Charter success.
