Lincolnshire Traveller Initiative - Well Women
08 Mar
Orange Room, Think Tank
To celebrate International Women’s Day, The Eleanor Glanville Institute, together with Paul Boucher, the Director of Lincolnshire Traveller Initiative, welcomes Gypsy women from their Well Women groups to discuss what it is like to be a Traveller Woman in Lincolnshire as part of our Race Matters Lecture series.
The Race Matters lecture series offers thought provoking and insightful narratives that aim to broaden attitudes towards the topic of race and ethnicity, exploring and challenging discrimination in a multidimensional way.
We will be hearing from the Women from the Well Women groups. These groups cover a wide range of activities all with the aim of improving health outcomes and access to services. Many health professionals join the groups to deliver information and practical advice around topics such as, mental health, cancer awareness, weight management, healthy eating and screening for all the major health concerns.
Lincolnshire Traveller Initiative (LTI) is committed to creating opportunities, community cohesion and positive futures for Lincolnshire’s Traveller communities. They aim to empower families by providing a range of trusted quality services such as:
