Women’s History Month
01 Mar
to 31 Mar
Most of us are more aware of International Women’s Day on March 8th, but the whole of March is Women's History Month. Throughout the month, the University of Lincoln is holding a number of events to celebrate women’s role in history and campaign for a better, more equal future.
International Women’s Day - Wednesday, 8th March
The University of Lincoln will celebrate International Women’s Day, which is a global day to celebrate the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women’s equality.
This year’s theme of #EmbraceEquity aims to get the world talking about why equal opportunities aren’t enough. People start from different places, so true inclusion and belonging require equitable action.
At the University of Lincoln, we have come together to showcase the work and achievements of our academic staff and students, and to highlight the important work being undertaken by our research institutes and groups to help understand relevant issues and embrace equity.
You can find out more about International Women’s Day here.

Lincolnshire’s Women in the Game
Lincolnshire FA is delighted to be hosting a networking evening for all of those involved in women and girls’ football in the County. Whether you’re a coach, a player, a Lincolnshire Lionesses student, or anything else, we want to invite you to celebrate your involvement in the game this International Women’s Day.
Join us on Wednesday 8th March for a panel discussion with trail-blazing women in football (names to be announced soon!) and a chance to network with others in the game. We’ll be looking at what it means to be a woman working in the game today with a specific focus on coaching.
Please note this event has been postponed due to adverse weather.
