Prof Sharon Bell: A Marathon for Change
04 Sep
Prof Sharon Bell AM will discuss the most recent findings from her series of studies on gender in Australian science, and reflect on her academic background as an anthropologist in this context.
Sharon will draw on the findings of her research ‘Women in the Science Research Workforce: identifying and sustaining the diversity advantage’ (2015), which focuses on the disciplinary fields of biology and chemistry. This is a landmark report in that it is cross-sectoral in two important fields of science, draws on data from both men and women across all career stages and draws on evidence from those who have left the science research workforce.
